This is one bar I would love to go to!
Hello and welcome to the Library bar, home of bad grammar, good music and an adorable bar staff.
The Library bar is a low-key bar with a rock & roll jukebox, affordable stiff drinks and a no-attitude atmosphere.
But don’t take my word for it: the jukebox was voted one of the Top Five in NYC by: NY Press, Paper Magazine and the Village Voice.
Here’s what Paper Magazine had to say about The Library:
“Everyone’s welcome at the Library, a rollicking, colorful little bar on the edge of Avenue A. There’s no preferred clientele and no guest list — just cheap bottles of beer, an eclectic jukebox blaring tunes by the Smiths, the Misfits and the Stooges, and an incredibly addictive video game. From NOON to 4:00AM a muticulti (sic) parade passes through this slightly dingy yet relentlessly upbeat bar, trading stories, sharing drinks and perusing the old books that line the shelves. As if that weren’t enough to get you off your ass and onto Avenue A, B-Movies-the tackier the better-are frequently screened (on their large 100″ projection screen).”
