That’s One Hell of a Booklog

This site amazingly records every book Eric Leuliette has read the past 33 years!

Actually, it isn’t much to look at, other than graphs and book titles, but it is quite a literary feat in itself, and a motivation for people like me building up their booklog. I can’t wait for my 10th booklog anniversary, which will happen when I’m 26.

He doesn’t seem to be a big fan of fiction, that’s for sure.

sulz: well, everybody has their favourite genre. 🙂

    Happy Easter…

And very true…though, fiction usually does have “something for everyone”.

sulz: that’s true, but do you notice that politicians prefer non-fiction to fiction? he must think like one then… lol.

I love it that you are reading “Ballet Shoes”. I read it way back when and remember loving it and all of Noel Streatfeild’s books.

sulz: i saw it in the library and thought i’d give it a try. it’s very much down memory lane because it’s got such an enid blyton feel to it, except that enid doesn’t write about themes like ballet. i’ve also white boots waiting to be read. 🙂

It’s amazing to think that you can read a book every 5 days for 23 years and would still only read 2000 books. That’s a drop in the ocean don’t you think ?

sulz: indeed! that’s why it’s so important to choose the right books to read. but sometimes you have to endure those awful books you wished you didn’t pick up because it helps to shape your literary preferences. that, and classics should be read for cultural knowledge.
