Parodic Poem

Everybody loves a parody (unless if it’s sacrilegious, but I’m not religious myself). Below is a parody of Margaret Atwood’s poem You Fit Into Me. The first poem is Atwood’s poem, while the second is the parody. The title Peggy refers to Atwood’s nickname.

You Fit Into Me

you fit into me
like a hook into an eye

a fish hook
an open eye

Peggy

you fit into us
like a peg into a hole

a square peg
an asshole
