There’s Chick Lit and There’s Kink Lit

What are Kinky People Reading?

During National Library Week 2006 in April, John Bradford, known as the LA&M’s MARC Cub, asked kinky people to submit the titles of their favorite alt-sex books. The response was enthusiastic. The LA&M has compiled the responses from this call and separated fiction and non-fiction. The titles were then ranked according to their ranking on http://www.amazon.com at the time. The end results are compiled into two lists.

The only one I’ve read* is Dominatrix: The Making of Mistress Chloe by Claire Mansfield and John Mendelssohn.

* because it’s the only one I can find – hoho, believe me, I will not hesitate to read this genre, a hundred randy horses can’t stop me. Better reading than watching the genre, innit?

Wowzer – I don’t know if I’d have the courage to go out and get any of the “non-fiction” titles. Pretty extreme! 🙂

And yes, better reading than watching… 😉 😉

sulz: it can be explicit at moments, but it’s not porn really. the literary porn is the kind you search on google under ‘sex stories’. kink lit is really more plot than smut. if you find one in the library, nobody’s going to think you’re a perv for picking it up. 🙂
